We welcome entries from nurses across all settings working with lung cancer patients who are leading change, improving patient outcomes, and advancing lung cancer care.

Whether your work focuses on patient education, symptom management, psychosocial support, research, or quality improvement, we want to celebrate your achievements. Share your project, initiative, or case study that showcases the impact of nursing in lung cancer care.

The winning author will attend the 24th British Thoracic Oncology Group (BTOG) Annual Conference in Edinburgh Scotland, 4th–6th March 2026.

ILCNG Lung Cancer Nursing Competition – Submission Guidelines

Eligibility:

  • Entrants must be members of the Irish Association for Nurses in Oncology (IANO).

Article Requirements:

  • The article may focus on any aspect of lung cancer nursing.

  • Word count: 1,500–2,000 words.

  • Articles must meet academic writing standards, including appropriate grammar, spelling, and structure.

  • Use of generative artificial intelligence (GenAI) is strictly prohibited.

  • Strict adherence to the word limit, reference system, and all submission guidelines is required.

  • Articles will not be edited for content—please ensure your submission is thoroughly proofread before sending.

Key Dates:

  • Submission deadline: 9th January 2026

  • Winner notification: 30th January 2026

Prize:

  • The winner will receive conference registration, flights, and accommodation.

Judging:

  • Entries will be reviewed and judged by the ILCNG Committee.
