TARGET Course
of EGFR inhibitors in the treatment of cancer
Background The
IANO and EONS have developed an exciting and challenging course on Epidermal
Growth Factor Receptor (EGFR) inhibitors e.g. Iressa,
Erbitux and Tarceva, for nurses working in oncology.
Entry
to this course is free for IANO members, but is dependent on an
application process. The course is part sponsored by Merck Ireland Criteria Candidates must: Enquiries Acknowledgments European Oncology Nursing Society (EONS) initiated and developed TARGET and the IANO implements the programme locally. TARGET is supported by Merck Ireland
- Be a registered nurse with An Bord Altranais
- Be a member of the Irish Association of Nurses in Oncology
- Have a minimum of 2 years experience in cancer nursing
- Have some experience in organising educational initiatives (e.g. study days, lectures) at local level
- Be willing to undertake pre-course revision
- Commit to complete a dissemination project
